Reflective glare is an issue that is eliminated through Oakley’s polarised lenses with no haze or optical distortion. Oakley utilise a liquid infusion process that bonds at the molecular level to achieve that clearest, sharpest polarised lenses possible. They block glare with better than 99 percent efficiency.

The lenses are enhanced with an Oakley hydrophobic coating; a permanent smudge-resistant layer that repels skin oils, lotions and dust with a slippery surface that prevents water sheens from getting a foothold. The back side is treated with a permanent anti-reflective coating, and lens options include iridium coatings to balance and tune light transmission. High definition optics maximizes clarity while letting us contour the lenses for a greater range of peripheral view. The optical performance of high definition optics is so precise; the Ice Pick beats all ANSI Z87.1 standards for clarity. It also meets ANSI standards for impact resistance, thanks to a lens material called plutonite that offers the added benefit of 100 percent UV filtering.
